Special Menu "Decode No Frills..."
"Decode - No Frills" is provided in the unlikely event that "Decode - Smart" and
"Decode - Super Smart" are unable to decode a file. This is possible because some
assumptions have been made about the expected format of an encoded file. The format
standards are VERY loose.
Essentially, "Decode - No Frills" is the same as most other decoders. To use it you
must edit out the article headers and footers, and then join the parts together in one file
(See UNIX to Mac Text). It expects to find nothing but uuencoded text between the "begin"
and "end" markers. You should rarely have to use this.
If you try "Decode - No Frills" and the output file is still bad, it's very
likely that either the file you are trying to decode is corrupt in some
way or the article parts were assembled in the incorrect order during
your Read News session.
